Landscape photography in Madeira

Few islands offer such a diverse range of subjects for landscape photographers in such a small area as Madeira. Many years ago, at the beginning of my photography career, I spent a holiday on Madeira and undertook various hikes, always with my camera in tow. For several years, I wanted to return to the island and try my hand at capturing the diverse subjects again, using the photography know-how I had acquired over the years. On my second visit, I had a much better understanding of Madeira's changeable and unique weather conditions. This allowed me to capture several of my desired images with epic cloud formations and lighting effects.
